About Somalia
Somalia is consistently ranked as one of the most dangerous places in the world to be a Christian, with persecution coming from militant groups like al-Shabaab, government officials, and their own families and communities. The small Christian community, largely composed of converts from Islam, must practice their faith in extreme secrecy.
Here are some specific ways you can pray for the persecuted believers in Somalia:

Pray for the safety of the believers, especially those who are known or suspected to have converted from Islam. Ask for protection from violence, kidnapping, imprisonment, and death, which are constant threats from al-Shabaab and even family members.

Pray for the underground churches and networks that their meeting places and methods remain hidden from hostile groups, and that the leaders are protected.

Pray that believers would stand firm and persevere in their faith amid extreme trials, even when facing death. Pray that their faith would inspire others.
